Hmm. No response to the video.
Did nobody like it? Or, did nobody watch it?
I found it very interesting.
In other, local spider news: I was walking Kathy out to her car as she was heading for work, and she stopped suddenly on the walkway to the drive. Sitting smack in the middle of the walk was a fairly large, very dark spider. Kathy wanted me to shoo it out of the way before she proceeded. (Kathy, you might guess, does not share my enthusiastic appreciation for arthropods.) As I neared the eight-legged obstacle, I noticed that it was an uncharacteristically dark (for this area anyway) wolf spider. Usually the ones I see around here are a dusky greyish brown with well-defined markings. I also noticed a half-dozen or so little, tan, pinkie-nail sized babies scurrying on and around her. She had about a three-inch leg span- nothing for the record books, but quite respectable. I tried to get Kat to take a closer look so I could show her the epitome of arachnid motherhood, but she was not interested. I tapped my foot behind her on the walk, and she scrambled off into the lawn. I would have liked to have taken a pic, but she was long gone before I could retrieve the camera.
Fiddleback---I'll be right over! Machete---Great video, thanks!! Was that a Burrowing Wolf Spider? They are huge! "Spider gossamer, holds the World together." - Lycosa
