Put Up or Shut Up Time

I'm going to be buried with my Busses. If this old guy can take his Harley with him, I can take my knives!

Whatif the older cultures were right and you could take stuff with you as you go . Just put it in the will to be buried with a few and maybe you see them again , I'd rather be choppin trees down then finger paintin or whatever activities they got going on up there

Never understood the idea of taking it with you. Might as well let others enjoy them. Ain't gonna do you any good.

At the rate it's going, as introduced by Her Majesty's Moron Lawgivers Muppet Band (in another decade it's gonna reach the USA too) anything sharper than a butter knife will have to be handled by someone who has a certification and a degree granted by a 5 year university/college course...
Might as well either take them with you or just sell them now. Really no point in encumbering anyone who might inherit your stuff with hot goods!

Keep that stuff up in the Great White North!

If anything, our knife laws have gotten markedly better in my lifespan. I can for the first time in my life belt carry any length blade without restriction and I can also own, carry, and use automatics.

I've seen legislation get enacted pretty fast and I know the pendulum can swing backward as fast as it swings forward, but it'll take some heavy lifting to get it roll it back on my grassroots level.

But if that happens...there's always revolution-- we're notable for it here in the colonies. ;)

Follow your heart, brother.

To paraphrase Doyle Brunson, “You don’t distance yourself from what you love because you get old. You get old because you distance yourself from what you love.”

Thank you for that Will York!

Good Choice. A good friend of mine will never sell any of his Busses but he does leave them all with Hang Tags with prices/Values for whoever inherits his Collection will have some idea about value/costs.
But like I said, he will never sell one.

The tags are a smart thing to do; at least this way they won't be sold on eBay for $20 each.

I am quite a bit (big bit) older than the OP, but I think that Doyle Brunson's summation is pointing at those folks who have sold everything in their collection .. and I would agree with the foolishness of such a maneuver.
I have "divested" my collection to a large extent...but also have seriously "upgraded" what I am keeping. Probably 95% of my knives are gone...they just sat in the safe... but I did buy another "new" custom fixed blade yesterday, as it seems to meet the basic parameters that I'm looking for...in a fixed blade for cross-draw carry. You just can't tell until you have it in hand.
Many are called; few are chosen...and just as rapidly sold again.
Always searching for the perfect knife...keeps my life in focus.

Do as you wish, whatever brings you joy in your life.

I don't care what happens to my stuff when I die. I have them to enjoy while I am alive.

If you are wanting to downsize, I'd run through what you have and find the ones in each size class (or whatever) that do it the best for you and get rid of the rest.

But if you want to keep them, keep them! It's your life, live it your way.
