About an hour ago we called Nepal to see how things are going and the kamis said they need work. They have been producing very well lately, the Maoists have left them alone, we have been able to get material with no problem, charcoal supply good, leather and steel supply good -- only problem was village sarki cutting himself pretty severely but he's back on the job.

Isn't it strange how things work. I just made the post about forfeiting profits for the sake of having work for the kamis and that's what we are doing -- about five or six hours after the fact.

So, that's the deal. Anything we have is stock you can get for 25% off regular price. This sale continues until further notice.

Take a look at the shopping site. Anything you see carried the 25% discount. Buy at full price and I'll send 25% refund right back. Or order direct via email.

I placed an order asking that each kami make five "new models" of his own choosing and creation -- so we should have some interesting items coming in soon and this gave them immediate work.

Email to get your deal.

What he said. :D

Edited to add: I guess that's pointing at my squirrel huh? It's supposed to point at Dan.

So, we may just get Munk's shapened anvil cleaver yet. Can't wait.

Wow, great deals and maybe some special stuff too.

I'm sending those 20" YCS brainwaves over to Nepal right now!!

Danny, kerambits are on order -- hopefully with the raktha chandan handles.

Even I am a little excited about what they will come up with. They have open range -- khukuris, swords, folders, sickles, sythes, butter knives, anything they can dream up. My only requirement was that it cuts.

HI really helps me feel for the people in Nepal, because I spend all my money on kuks and have to go hungry much of the time...

:D

sheesh....

Just when I think I got this HIKV thing licked....up comes 25% off and new models in the works. I guess its the Khuk gods telling me that I really didn't need that pre-ban AR-15 after all. Now I need money for K's again. Unless that Colt owner lets me finance it.... hmmm.

No wonder I stay broke. :(

Bill, HI makes several Katanas, but how about a shorter Katana style sword?

Myself, for a serious fighting blade, I'm more interested in a Wakazashi length blade than a full size Katana, but I'd like to see that length of blade with the bigger Katana handle (most Wakazashi handles I've seen are shorter).

What I'd personally like to see them to produce from their forge is essentially an Everest Katana with a full size, two handed, chiruwa style handle with a steel hanguard and a short 20" or so blade.

Basically just take an Everest Katana and shorten the blade 6 or 7 inches.

You know, I bet those kamis could make some seriously good Japanese Tanto style knives also.
