Danny, kerambits are on order -- hopefully with the raktha chandan handles.

Even I am a little excited about what they will come up with. They have open range -- khukuris, swords, folders, sickles, sythes, butter knives, anything they can dream up. My only requirement was that it cuts.

OUTSTANDING!

Take a tarwar, make it 2/3 as long, single-handed grip, add a knuckleduster-thingy, add a sharp point, perhaps sweep it back a little. Voila, the HI Himalayan Cutlass. Make a longer, thinner one as the HI Gurkha Cavalry Sabre. Leave it straight and no guard for the Hi Gladius.

Damn, delurking again. What's wrong with me today?

Tio Bill, any chance that the kami's have access to a copy of the Lord of the Rings trilogy? A set of Legolas' "White Knives" would be stunning coming from the hands of someone like Bura or Kumar. Just a thought.

I'm getting emails for specific orders. Not going to do it -- no specific assignment. Giving kamis free rein to do what they want.

I will have to say that you serve as one of
my role models of a balanced, good and sane person.
To create a business that actually helps people and
then to keep those people at work is truely a great thing.
I think it's call ethical behaviour, and we don't have enough today. Any idiot can make money taking advantage , but it takes a lot to run a business that puts people first. It's one of the reasons, I continue to read this forum (definitely not for the opinions and political jabber). I aspire to "do good " like that one day, If I can just figuare out how to do it.

I really think you create your own" good smoke and prayers".

Hm. I'm really hoping a few of the kamis will think to add guards to some kuks, esp. maybe the lighter, overtly warlike kuks: chits, chains, sirus, kobras, mallas, gelbus.

Tarwars with guards would be the bee's knees, too.

:)

You never know what they'll come up with. Bura sent me a folder he'd made and it was sold on the forum. Yvsa may be the owner. But I was very impressed with the execution and quality. A machine could not have done it much better. I think we're going to see some really unique stuff -- good for collectors and knife lovers in general.

Bill, when would you estimate that the first of them will start arriving?

Yes Uncle, inquiring Bank Accounts want to know (so they can prepare themselves). :D

I am in love with HI special knives, like the kanchi, trishul deckers and bahg marne , love em love em want em want em.

thats what i look forward to.

I don't know how welcome this suggestion is, but have you considered a forum based auction for the unique items the kamis will be producing? I can't always camp the forums waiting for that magical post from Uncle Bill and scramble to type up an email.

I don't know how well a forum based auction would work. May be more work for Uncle Bill and Yangdu then they need right now. I would be happy with a day notice before everything went up for sale maybe a warning that all heck was about to break loose and the sharks should get ready for a rare feast. How many items are we talking about here Uncle Bill? How many Kami's are on the payroll now? Can't wait and thanks for the chance to get some (possibly) one of a kind items.
