It never dawned on me to attempt a draw method on feather sticks. I always practice the sharp edge away from you methods (of most often) for most everything.

I got the idea when Ethan Becker gave me a BK4 machax at the gathering and told me to try it out as a draw knife. So I tried and sure enough, damn near perfect feathers.
