Beautiful Tool!

Thanks,
LV,

From the posts I've seen of your wood outings, I think you're going to enjoy this one. I've had mine for all of this year, which I ordered for a smaller size as a fancy carver, and it certainly has not disappointed. It gets pretty regular use in the woodshop for shaving and carving wood. Love it. I recommend Jelio's puukkos to anyone interested in the design, but I personally love the leather handles he does which are a little more rare and feel very nice to boot.

I actually missed this one. I was late to the draw.

I already have one of Jelio’s Puukkos. Stunning piece.
I hope to get a leather stacked one in the future.

Woops, my bad. I was looking forward to seeing it in one of your camp posts. If you want to try one before you buy one, let me know. I'll send you mine just to see it in some outdoors photos. Mine hasn't been outside as much as I thought I would since it pretty much stays in the garage, basement shop, and yard duties.

No worries!
Anything worth having is worth waiting for.

I need a good woods event. Between the new job and moving from N.Y. to PA, free time has been tight. But things are starting to settle down.

Thank you kindly for the offer. but I'm always afraid to borrow other folks knives, for fear I'll do something stupid. like drop one on a rock, of feather through old imbedded piece of barbed wire.

I'm in talks with Jelio for a stacked leather one, like the one above. I already have one of his Puukkos, recently scooped off the secondary market. Fit and finish is top notch. the fit to the sheath just plain rocks.

I have come to view Knife/Sheath as a unified system. not simply two separate entities.
They need to work together. Jelio nails that!

The simplicity of the Scandinavian back sewn sheaths fascinate me. So simple, yet they do what needs doing.
mine click in with a sound similar to the kydex click. turn it upside down and shake. The knife stays put.
Yet with a slight rotational twist, if lifts out as smooth as butter.

Light, Compact, and Quiet, a work of art in leather and wood!

LV,
