Hello everyone!

As I wan Canoe from Duncan's giveaway and I've crossed 2000posts generally and over 300 posts in Traditional section, its time to me give back something.

Prize is Iisakki Järvenpää Ostrobothnian traditional puukko I got 2nd hand for giveaway. This type of puukko is very famous in Ostrobothnia region on Finland. Especially turn of the century (later 19th century to be exact) there was group trouble makers called Puukkojunkkarit / Häjyt roughly translated Puukko Meanies/Evils who were notorious brawlers, troubel makers, horse thieves and making many man slaughters.

This type of Ostrobothnian traditionalist puukko was then made fame in Finland. Noticable differences is using "blood groove" and extensive usage of brass combined stack birch bark instead non-grooved blade and birch handle puukko's of elsewhere. This one has full rat tail tang.

Rules are simple:
your post number is your entry number
Open for all, even moderators if they so wish.
Winner is chosen by random number generator
I ship anywhere but I don't take responsibility is custom seizes puukko.

I'd like to know what would you do with this if you win. However this is optional.

Giveaway ends 18th of October.

I am in, thanks, I would find some soft pine and whittle some small Totem Poles while in my deer stand. Just started whittling and that looks like it would be great for it.

That is gorgeous! Thanks for the generosity.
I like to take fixed blades with me while backpacking, and that one would certainly get a lot of comments around the campfire.

Wonderful knife & thanks for the chance at winning.
I will use it on family hikes and then gift it to my son.

Count me in and thank you for the opportunity. I like puukkos and would add this to several others I already own.

That is a beautiful knife, I have to admit I would probably have a hard time using it just because of how nice it looks, it might just end up sitting on the mantle as a showpiece.

thejamppa -- very generous of you my friend! I have the perfect spot in my daypack for this little beauty! This Puukko looks gorgeous!! Thanks!

thanks for the giveaway, jani! very generous of you, I'm in!

WOW! That is a VERY generous gift, and also a very interesting knife. If I owned that knife it would certainly become a special part of my family's outdoor trips whether it be fishing, camping, or just a day of hiking. Thank you for the chance!

Count me in. I'm a puukko collector and Issaki Jarvenpaa is one of the best. It will recieve a good and caring home if I should win. Thanks

I have never owned a Puukko - looks like a great bushcraft knife

Please count me in and thank you.

gorgeous knife!
I'd give it to my wife so she would have a quality lightweight fixed blade for camping and woodcarving.
