A while back one of my Blade Forum customers asked me if I ever made a Puukko (thanks Mike) and I had to admit that I'd never given one much thought. Since a Pukko is a popular woodsman knife in Norway and Finland the idea intrigued me so figured I'd a couple. I had a bar of D2 I'd planned to use on another project but decided to use it on this and cut it into 5 Puukkos. All have 3.5 inch blades, 3 are Scandi ground, 1 is convex ground and the fifth is hollow ground and with a secondary bevel. This one is the first finished and used a very nice block of cocobolo burl (this wood would make any knife look good) for the handle. Traditional Puukko use a wood lined leather sheath but for this one I made a Kydex lined leather sheath with a steel swinger loop.

SPECS:
1/8 inch thick D2 hardened to around 60 Rc

Handle is Cocobolo burl scales with black spacers bolted onto knife's full tang.

Blade Length is 3.5 inches from tip to brass pommel with Scandi grind, satin finish and file worked along the spine.

Overall Length is about 8.4 inches

Kydex lined dark brown 4/5 leather sheath with a swinger loop.

SOLD: Price $160 shipped anywhere in US

I prefer PayPay (my account is kelley_ward2@agilent.com) but also take major credit cards, money orders and checks.
Thanks,
Kelley Ward

I really like this one-- nice work all around. It's a little out of my price range but very tempting. The handle material is GREAT. L
