Materials: A2 steel, brass tubing, West G-Flex Epoxy, dymondwood, olive canvas micarta.
Heat treated by Paul Bos, 60 R.C.
Overall Length: 8"
Tip - To - Handle: 4"
Cutting Edge: 3 3/4"
Thickness of Steel: 1/8"

The handle layers are carefully laid up with G Flex. The finish is a mix of beeswax, 3-in-1 oil, and paraffin wax. It is a grippy finish, not smooth or hard.

Includes the two sheaths pictured. The black one wasn't retaining the knife very firm, so that is why I made the other one. Both are treated with Sno-Seal.

There is a narrow secondary bevel.

Please do not expect this knife to be awesomely perfect: The plunge lines are a little mismatched. The spines are not as smooth as the flats.

Useful knife, and one of a kind. Since these pictures were taken, I have trimmed off the excess epoxy from in front of the scales.

This is looking straight on at the plunge lines:

The wax finish wore a little on the left handle side, from sliding in and out of the sheath:

I modified this sheath and it retains much better now:

$87 shipped in USA via Priority Shipping. Add $6 for Canada. No other destinations, please. [edit 12 Dec 2013 12:29]:I prefer paypal. With checks, I have to wait until it clears the bank before shipping. With Money Order, I have to wait until I cash it.

You see three colors of paracord there. I will make a short lanyard in your color choice, out of those colors, at no extra charge.

Thank you! You recognize where I got my design cues!

Liking this one really looks to be a great bushcraft knife for someone and at a crazy deal

great looking knife man.. I like the design a lot.. wish it wasn't so close to x-mas.. may have to consider one of these once the holidays are over, hopefully you can possibly make another..

Thank you, mtnfolk. I designed it partly mimicking the old Mora knives. I figured if they are so useful and versatile, why not?

Depending on how long it takes to sell, I may just close the thread at some point, wait, and sell it next year. Or, I may do a price drop. Just waiting to see what happens.

Looks like a great worker. What kind of maintenance is the handle going to require, not familiar with that mixture.

Occasionally drip hot wax, scrape off excess and rub with the palm of your hand. Parafin wax would work fine.

The handle materials don't require maintenance, except to keep it a darker shade of green. I just put the wax on there to darken it. This is my first time applying wax to micarta, so it is experimental. I think the Becker users like to put wax on their scales. Maybe it improves grip.
