I grew up in Northern Minnesota in the '50's and 60's near small towns with names like Toivola and Makinen with a lot of the older generation still speaking Finnish; it was little wonder that Puukkos were on display at the general store. I owned one as a kid but it has since been lost.
Some might say that this one is not completely traditional but even the Finns made different types from the basic style.

Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated in my Evenheat furnace with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to Rc 58-60 creating a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind with a 400 grit belt finish
Stabilized curly maple and stag handle
Overall length: 8 1/2 inches
Blade:3 3/4 inches
Leather dangling sheath for a right hand carry

Withdrawn; I'm on and extended hunting trip and will repost this sometime in December delivered within the US. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com

I remember when you originally posted this and thought it was very cool. Hope to see more puukkos from you.

Did this knife end up selling? I didn’t see it reposted last year and am curious.

Thanks,

-Harry
