When the northern Scandinavians wear their traditional costumes a puukko is almost always part of the dress. This knife is also a working tool that gets used for anything from wood carving to butchering. A true every day carry for these folks. I tried to create a sheath that looks like the standard for the puukko but I think I only got close.

wow-very appealing.
I'm going to lose sleep over this one!
love your work Mr. Drew:thumbup:

What great handle, beautiful choice of materials and the way you put them together

Beautiful knife from tip to brass end plating :)

That is very nicely done. Gerry, your work just keeps on getting better. If you have a "comfort zone'' of design it doesn't show.

Wow, that's one of your nicest pieces yet !!!!

Off topic can I just say that IMO your work is some of the very best on this forum, the only niggly thing that puts me off a little is how you always use hollow grinds, do you do other grinds by request ?

Yes, I can do any type of grind (I'm such a prostitute) but the hollow grind is the quickest and helps me keep the price in line.
