No,there is no pins on those knives.
 
Here is one I finished yesterday,for the first time in SS, bohler n690co. Handle is stabilized cherry burl.




 
Very nice friend ! Stunning looking pieces for sure. Really digging the San mai . I have your with me almost every day . Great sheath work as well !
 
I have a question about the rhombic cross section.
It looks beautiful, does it also have a practical benefit or is it aestetic?

Maybe some benefit during wood carving, but looks attractive, that's for sure..:)
