Puzzled about a certain Kershaw Blur model

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone can help me out on this one. I've been building my blur collection and am seeking the 30th anniversary 1670ann model blur. Supposedly only 1,000 were made and each knife is numbered on the blade. But every single knife that I find Is numbered 1 of 1,000. How can that be? Please someone solve my dilemma

Sometimes instead of doing regular serial numbers (like 429 of 1000), manufacturers will just indicate that it was 1 of a 1000 piece limited run. Kind of a shady system, but it is far from alien.

Yup. Whether it was #1, #2, #357, or #999, etc.

They were all 1 of 1000 limited run.
