I know Josh at PVK has had his fair share of issues in the past, and I wanted to chime in with my experience.

I carry an auto most days, and the selection at PVK is pretty impressive. I had considered buying from him before but always held off due to negative reviews. I stumbled across a couple posts from well respected BF members who I know I can trust, both said that Josh had turned things around and was providing great service.

I was recently in the market for a new Protech and decided to give PVK a shot. Along with the selection, the prices are some of the best around. My knife shipped the same day with free shipping and arrived perfectly packaged with some free swag.

Two thumbs up for Josh and PVK, couldn't have been a better transaction.
 
Josh can get it done . I never was on the bad end of things with him . But for automatics he has a good selection. I think his prices tend to be a touch higher but he can deliver. I think he had some family problems that may have interfered with things a while back.
 
I recently called him to find out if his online inventory was up to date. He said yes and he could ship inmediately. That's exactly what he did and I got my Protech quick. Very happy with my first experience.
 
Ive also had good experiences with him recently. No issues ive read about from years ago.
 
I've bought from PVK one time, it was a flawless transaction.
Item was as described + the shipping time was impressive + he communicated effectively = happy customer.
 
I placed an order with PVK last night. This is my second order but it's been years...no issues last time, hopefully this one will go smooth as well. Everyone will always chime in to give negative feedback. I make a point to leave positive feedback, especially if the company has had problems in the past and turned things around. I'll post again when the deal is done.
 
I've always been pleased dealing with Josh, well over 15 years now and countless transactions.

I'm not ready to go into details but I have a problem with my order and as soon as I let PVK know about it communication stopped completely. No response at all. Yes this is about the order I mentioned from 8/2/15. I've emailed him multiple times for weeks to the same email I was previously getting responses from. If anyone here knows him and could help me out, please let me know.

Well, without details, how do you expect anyone to help you? I mean, there is no way to know what happened here. There are always 3 sides to every story. If you want people to start guessing this will turn into a straight up pissing match right away, and that is not the way this forum works and it won't be happening her.pe.

I had quite a few dealings with Josh a few years ago when I was into auto knives. He was very nice to me, and if he wasn't very busy we would spend 20 to 30 minutes on the phone discussing knives and other things. Saying that, when he gets very busy he seems to get a little panicky. From what I could tell he's a one man shop so I can understand he may get behind and have little time to answer phone calls or emails. Of course as a businessman this is not good. All I can say is he always treated me well, and never had any problems with the auto knives he sold me. Good luck.

The emails were going through just fine, multiple back and forth, until I had a problem then the email responses stopped. Thank you for the contact info though. I'm not worried about it anymore. Lesson learned.
 
Back in 2009 I ordered a Protech Godfather from PVK. The one I received was not the one I had ordered. I emailed Josh about it who responded that he was sending the right one and a prepaid mailer to return the wrong one. They arrived a few days later. I have ordered a few times since from PVK without any problems.
