This will be my first year attending Practice What You Preach (PWYP) here in Western North Carolina. Thought I'd start a thread to see who is attending, I know of a few BF members who will be there already, and I'm looking forward to soaking up some good knowledge from everyone. So if you are going to make it to PWYP, post up! Here is an earlier thread on PWYP:

I didn't know about this until now. Unfortunately, I have to be in Florida for a memorial service for my uncle at the same time. Well, therre is always next year.

Marty, thanks for the response. I'm working all the angles to try to clear work and family commitments so I can take the course you are offering. Hope to send you an email soon.

I plan on being there as well. Had a great time last year and I don't think I've ever met a finer group of people in my life. Terrill has his own slice of heaven on that mountain and once a year we all get a little piece of that!

All Right! Somehow managed to get everything juggled around so I can take the wilderness survival course Marty is teaching before PWYP. You either got the money and no time, or the time and no money!

Whenever instructors like Marty with a lifetime of real-world experience get anywhere within a couple of hours of me, I move heaven and earth to try and attend. Randy Cain of Cumberland Tactics was in town about a year ago teaching a 3 day tactical handgun course, and I managed to swing that one as well. Learned more in 3 days of shooting under his tutelage than I had in 10 years of dinking around on my own. I think the same will hold true for Marty's class.

I have many times regretted the money I spent on a new toy. I have yet to ever regret the money spent on training of any kind.

Unless I get chosen to serve on a jury, I will be bringing my almost six year old daughter with me.

Dan and I are already packing and can't wait to head south and play with blades...Who's bringing the band aids? I bet Rob G. got some. I watched him undo his altoid can in MD and I still don't know how he got all that stuff in there. Rob are you gonna help me make up one like that at PWYP?

God Bless
