Pwyp

Get Ethan, sounds like a grand time....
Think I would pass on the "MALE syrup" by the glass though, ha ha...
See you at Blade bossman...

Hey Bobber......

Yikes....... Thanks..... Fixed it...... Please forget it ever existed.....

Ethan

PWYP was a blast and, as usual, the eats Ethan put together were awesome! As some called it... "How to survive in the wilderness on 6000 calories per day". Ha!

I have never attended a PWYP. My understanding is that PWYP goes way, way back, and has inspired many other conflabulations of like-minded humans.

I have heard rumors that Ethan enjoyed PWYP so much, that he opened his own property to a similar idea.

Anyhoo, I have indeed been blessed to attend a couple Beckerhead Gatherings on Ethan's property... and I must say with all sincerity...

If you go hungry or can't make a friend there.... you're probably an... "unpleasant human being".

What a grand time......... Gene Boyd, his friend Dave McIntyre, Dave Skomra, Jim Nowka, Dave's son in law Jeremy, Dr. Kyle(AIG) a couple of Jeremy's buds and meself constituted our fire this year.... 'Twas a bit chilly but, it made. the fire feel good...... Nowka brought some truly fine home cooked maple syrup which I could drink by the glass.

Dave MciIntyre brought one of his beautifully modified Tramontina machetes..... Mind you I have seen a lot of modded machetes but Dave's mods are so very well thought out that I think they are worthy of careful study.......you tube.... Dave teaches survival skills in Brazil ...... He strikes me as a good teacher and very knowledgeable as well as being a good sort....

Joe Flowers brought his new design done by TOPS and, to my great delight, it had excellent edge geometry....Nowka is brimming over with new knife projects....... Dr. Kyle is moving to the wilderness of Northern Michigan and he and Nowka will, I am sure, be scheming new and wondrous schemes together......

I induced a couple of people to try out the RBK proto I had with me and got some very positive feedback...YAY!!!!!!.....

It was a very good time, indeed, the best of times, with some very fine people....... I am gonna miss PWYP, a lot.....

Ethan

P.S....... The best thing about this year's PWYP was the absence of Skomra's effing kilt..... Trust me ...there is no eye bleach strong enough to erase THAT particular image........ E

The RBK was an AMAZING cutting / chopper !!.

So look forward to seeing it produced and getting one myself !!.

ONLY thing missing was Skomra in the kilt - ok so that was not true.

GREAT seeing you Ethan.

scaatylobo = in case you don't know this poster.

Hey Scaty.....

Thanks for dropping in...... It was good to see you and spend a bit more time than is usual confabbing.... You are very lucky in your Lucy, my friend..... Please give her my best and I hope to see you both again soon.....

Have fun....

Ethan

Good to see you on here Scatty. Kay and I missed seeing you this time.

I'll give you a hint. Kay made fried pies last year.

You ARE a very funny man.

IF you think I can remember last year = really ?.

I am lucky if I remember last week and what I did and who I saw = IF its written down.

.

And now that PWYP on Chestnut Mtn is over,we wont be seeing each other again I dare say.

If you were the couple that shared the 'swamp' with the guys, then I have a clue.

That's all a clue

Names are another thing altogether.

You got it. :D

OMG ,need to write this date down = I REMEMBERED SOMETHING.

Now for the rest of your life you will remember that you were at the original PWYP, and went and missed the last one.

Hope your thinking about Nowka's new meet ups ?.

I will consider them, only the bug's will keep me away as they eat me alive.
