IIRC, Tracy has been a member a long time.

I was only showing that the price and thickness were not optimal. Additionally, Midwest knife supply (USA Knifemakers) is a long time recommended supplier here in shop talk. They are even listed in the stickys.

Normally we try and give any link posted a test of intent: Was the post to promote sales of the item shown, or to compare/ask about/discuss/show a type/...etc. If the only reason a link to a non-site related source seems to have is selling, then it gets closed. If the link is for edification or discussion, it gets a pass...as long as the discussion stays on use or comparison, not selling.

I sent Tim an email about his use of a link and sales info. I'll let him remove it without the Mods getting involved. Many members don't enable email, and it has to be done without their consent.

In any case, 1/8" is awfully thin and no, that's not a very good price. Use a search engine. Some have reported getting small pieces suitable for platen liners from local sources even cheaper.

Sorry, guys. I thought it was a good price. I have no connection with Peninsula Glass. I don't know how to remove my post so if anyone does, please feel free to do so.

Hey PT Doc,
Names are cyclical and the name Tim is coming back. We are planning to take over the world next month.

Jim is a popular name around here. If I forget anybody's name, I can usually call them Jim and have a 42% chance of being right.

Now, As for the glass... try something closer to 1/4" thick.
