Hi, I have one of the medium stones, and I love it. However, in my search for the ultimate edge, Im looking for a stone that will give me the sharpest possible knife.. just to show off

What abouts is the Ultrafine stone's grit equivalent too, compared to a japanese water stone?? I was looking at a 6000 grit.. which im sure is complete overkill, but we all have to live a little

Yoda4561 - The grit of ceramic is difficult to measure. The particle before firing is 15 microns, but firing changes the properties of the materials. I can tellyouthat is has been compared to 1200 grit compared with various "sand papers". It will produce a "mirror polish". It is the finest "grit" ceramic made. Hope that helps.
