Hi. When we receive emails from members they show up like:

FROM: membername @ BladeForums.com: The Leading Edge of Knife Discussion

I usually hit "REPLY" and then copy/past the members email address into the "TO" bar instead of the BF line shown above.

But what happens if I just hit "REPLY" and send my reply to:
membername @ BladeForums.com: The Leading Edge of Knife Discussion

Nothing? Nobody get's it at all?
It's just sometimes I forget to do the copy/paste address thing and wonder what happens when I do.

Thanks.

Modern emails have seperate Display From and Reply To fields.

If I sent you an email, you would it see it came from Nordic Viking @ Bladeforums.com but if you clicked reply you would see my real email adress in the Email To field.

No. I think this is different. This is different from an address book type identity. It's a BF address. Try emailing someone from their user profile and you'll witness the emailbot I'm talking about. See the bot email I just sent you.

(Thanks anyway, buddy.)

Fulloflead,

Did you get my emails, detailing how the process works? For me it works the way I described, how does it work for you, when you press reply?

Yeah, you're right, it works. I didn't notice that the email address was WAY off to the right outside of the quotes.

Thanks.
