Anybody going to the QSR this Friday? I'll be there spending money ;).

I picked up a sweet anvil, hammer, and some tongs last year...

Well, I will be there tomorrow morning. I'll have my ABS hat on and a couple knives in the trunk :). Hopefully I'll see some of you there.

I was planning on going over and getting registered tomorrow and then watching Steve Schwarzer's demo on Sat.

My shop is in walking distance of Quad State there at the fairgrounds. Shoot me an email and I will forward my cell phone # to ya if you want to link up.

Met up with Matt yesterday at Quad State and he came over to the shop for a bit. Got to chop with one of his knives. His blades are first rate....and he is a nice guy.

Hopefully he'll come down some time and we'll make a billet or two on the press.
 
Thanks Greg. It was great meeting you. It's nice to know there are good knife makers near by. I'm going to have to take you up on your offer. That press is too cool :).

hehehe...BAD DOG!

I went back over to the roundup today and bought a hammer, some tongs, and a bunch of wrought iron to flatten with the press.....looks like fittings for a lifetime.

I missed Steve Schwarzer's demo.....mainly because I broke my toe last nite....that is what happens at O'dark 30 ....fetching a bottle for the baby. My little to was pointing 90 deg from original......so I "forged" it back to shape.....God...it still hurts! :mad:
