Quality Bowie?

I wouldn't. Looks like cheap Chinese junk to me.

Keep an eye on the BF exchange. Bowies come around often.

Also try searching KW for "bowie". You'll get about 158 results at varying prices from $9.95 (uh... no) to $500+. Many of those around your $100 price point are probably going to work for you. Look for the right size in a decent steel.

And welcome to the forum.

Ontario SP10 Marine Raider, $64 at BladeHQ, probably cheaper at Amazon:

Ka-bar Heavy Bowie, $60 at BladeHQ:

Condor Dundee Bowie, $45 at BladeHQ:

Cold Steel Trailmaster costs $158 at BladeHQ, but you can get it for around $122 at Amazon:

What you posted is a stretch of what the Bowie Knife is. That looks more like something off an Indiana Jones movie or what a swashbuckling pirate would carry.

If its going to spend most of it's time as a display piece I'd go with a cheap Winchester Bowie,
acid wash to patina the blade and sand the shiny finish off the wooden handle.

I agree with DShiflet: Ontario knives and Ka-Bar Becker were the first that came to my mind.
