Yangdu, you have me as a supporter of your business, your product and the kamis in the shops. Your service and comitment to your coustomer is without question, a bench mark for other small businesses to strive for.
That being said.
What are the consequences kamis and other craftsmen face in regard to the non-conformance to quality standards implemented by the shop manager and or business owner?
If it is human error-Reduction of title or responsibilities (floor sweeper or gofer duties), given less work or projects, major ass chewing? Are they allowed x amount of occurrences per year? Or so many handle failures and so many blade failures.
If it is material- Does the shop foreman track these to determine and eliminate root cause? Poor quality base material from a particular scrap yard, poor quality wood from poor growing conditions or curing control.
I don’t mean to pry if this is a private matter, yet I am simply curious as to how these issues are addressed in the work shops that produce the product that I plan on spending hundreds more, if not thousands, of my future dollars on.
I don’t mean to come across as critical or an a$$ hole, but it would not be the first time i unintentionally came across as an a$$ .
I hope that this quality improvement crack down does not mean a reduction on Blem sales

How I enjoy those Blem sales/deals.
