Quality of old camillus slipjoints,

I estimate the Big Daddy Barlow to have been made early 70's.
The Delrin handle is held on with plastic studs rather than the earlier handle rivets, and the bolsters appear to be carbon steel.
Congrats, you seem to have gotten a pretty good deal too!

Well, THAT is as authoritative as answers on Camillus questions get.

Gotta love those old coke bottles - nice knife gr8 condition. The two blade example like yours are scarce.
I have an early New York Knife Co. jigged bone lock back.

Mom has an old Craftsman (stockman pattern, IIRC) made by Camillus - used, but still in the original box. I'll need to get it from her and post pics in the next few days. Nice knife, and while it has never seen any thing remotely like hard use, it is still in remarkably good shape. Cuts well (needs sharpening, though), no blade play, fully functional. Just a bit weathered and dirty as one might expect of a knife of that age that has not been meticulously maintained. [Edit: but no rust!]
