Recommendation? Quartermaster General 2

Warren Thomas was the other maker with some fairly damning issues regarding them. I've scrolled through dozens of old threads, and while I couldn't find anything regarding the Hawks' feelings, I do now feel the need for a hot shower.
I was going to ask if the Hawks are even aware that QM is selling one of their designs? o_O:D

add me to the list of "nope". The fact that G&G don't list them as collaborators alone tells me all I need to know.

They did sell them the design when Jared was living in Texas. but they didnt know that it would be outsourced to China. again i pasted his reply in another thread, i dont recall which one it was in.

IIRC, there was some question as to Jared's claim that ANY knives were ever made in Texas. Caveat Vendor, right? LOL

Thats correct, NONE of the knives were made in texas or even in the united states. they were shipped to texas from china.

The law Jared is getting by with because its un enforced is... that if a product is made 51% in the usa you can stamp made in usa. however this is not enforced and thats how he is getting away with it... that is until someone who owns a quartermaster follows up and goes through the process of legal and other ventures to get them to actually enforce it.

Wait?!?!?! You mean he doesn't have a mysterious Texas stealth factory that you can't seen Google street view? Oh, the humanity!!!!!:p But seriously, I am not by nature a bitter man, but it does bother me a bit that honest small time custom knife makers have to practically give away good quality blades because the market is so saturated while clowns like him get a premium for Chinese abortions. Thus endeth the rant,

And even then isnt something about 51% by value? Meaning you can take a chinese knife and put a usa made clip on it and claim that clip equals 51% of the price and thus skirt thhe law. I know this is done with lower end swiss watches. Ive said it before, i dont mind that qtrmstrbtr uses chinese factories. It just makes me mad they lie about it. I mean if they came clean and said we or some other good oem company was making their stuff it would probably help their business.

They cant just go and do that. they could say lie again (a white lie so to say) that all new production is going to be produced in china. but if they lie and say all production was made in china after lying this whole time about it, will get them into legal issues and probably be fines. hence why they keep the lie going.
