My first Queen, I have to say that I may have expected a bit more :( The knife looks great, exactly what I wanted. Cocobolo scales. Nice fit and finish, smooth operation. Positive 1/2 stop.

The Blade edge needed lots of work, the main blade was ground at 2 distinctly different angles and wouldn't slice paper at all. The smaller blade did slice paper but one side is completely flat while the other is completely convex. Hey they did seam to meet at the edge though ;) the only real issue is a little blade wobble on the large blade, the small one is perfect in regards to side play.

I wanted a classy user, I expect the D2 to hold up and the knife is the right size and weight and not too thick. I like it. I can live with fixing the blade edge but as I said not 100% happy with the wobble in a new knife. I am keeping it (already started sharpening the main blade) and expect to get a lot of use from it.

I have the exact same knife. I have no play in either blade. My edges were were much as you described...welcome to Queen Cutlery. Almost every Queen I've gotten new needed some time on the waterstone.

I would send this knife to Queen and ask them to fix the blade play.

The wobble may cause me to send it in, I only had it a few hours and it kind of bugs me, I know I started sharpening it already so I don't expect a replacement really especally because it a discontinued Cocobolo series, but one without side play would be nice.
If I were to nit pick there is a funny grind on the small blade top, see if you can spot it in the photos below.

I have the same in Forest Edge Delrin.
With very positve half-stops, too strong for my liking.

Now sharpened is a great user.
Would have loved in Cocobolo, but...

What is nice about it, is it is the same size as a small stockman, but the main clip blade is as large as a medium stockman.
It is the same size as their Mini-Trapper with a small spear instead of a full spey.

If you send it back to Queen, they would more likely repair your knife than send a replacement. Blade play would require a simple repin. I have sent two knives to Queen for repairs (including a backspring replacment) and both times I got the original knife back properly repaired.
