I would have to give a slight edge to the Queen knives. I have three of them, and I love the D2. As reported though, all the D2 Queens were received only fairly sharp. Once correctly profiled, they hold an edge to beat the band and are easy to touch up.
However, reprofiling or first sharpening is time consuming. Worth it in the end, but time consuming. And their amber bone is nothing short of beautiful.
If you are wondering about Queen D2 and want to try some, track down their "Country Cousin" small sodbuster. I got one of those (about $23 plus shipping for an American made knife!) and it is a slicing devil. I bought mine with yellow scales, and it is a really nice knife reminding me of years gone by. As with the others though, I had to sharpen it. Being a simple flat ground blade, this one didn't take too long, though.
