Ray,

"The side to side play really doesn't bother me. In reallity, just a few years ago I had never heard of the term "blade play" and never noticed it on any knife. I may have been better for it".

I agree with you there totally

"As far as the Case sodbuster compared to the CC, the Queen's sharper tip"

I agree again, the blade shape is great. You have to do some work to reprofile a Case to the same shape.

"FWIW, I may be wrong, but, I believe most production knife manufacturers will allow a little side to side play in their tolerences".

Yeah, maybe, It's my tolerance for the side to side play that
is the concern.
Anyway , I wasn't bashing Queen, just commenting to your post.
I would purchase another Queen sodbuster.

Thanks
Ray

Mine came with the dull edge, blade play, and a curved tip. I tightened the pivot, sharpened it and threw it in a tool box. I love Queen's D2 and the knife is a good tool for the money but I do prefer the Case sodbuster in CV for some reason.

Ray,
I know you're not bashing and I appreciate you sharing your opinions. How boring would it be if we all agreed on everything.
