Queen Cutlery Country Cousin giveway

I have an 8 year old son who would love this knife. He has several knives, all traditional style or SAK. When he was born my father (who died when Robert was 5 months old) gave me a set of 3 matching knives while we were still in the hospital, one for Robert one for me and one that was my dads but he wanted them to stay together. He has about 3 or 4 knives he is aloud to use (the one from my dad is put up with the other 2) and he's been asking for a new/slightly larger/better knife since school was out last spring, this would be a great thin to be able to give him. (Mom won't let him have more "tactical" looking knives yet so we stick with traditional style/slip joints/SAK's for now, he does have a Mora companion too)

16 months ago when our youngest was born my little sister remembered the knives our dad gave me and while my wife and new baby son were still in the hospital she went out and purchased me a knife to remind me of our father so I put i back for him when he's old enough.

My oldest son (we have a 6yo daughter too) is so much like myself, he'd sleep outdoors if we're let him, he goes fishing and hunting as much as possible. We go out in the woods on our property and have "minimalist" days where adjust take a few thing we absolutely need and make out lean-to and moss sleeping mat and "rough it" on whatever food we can catch/shoot, just like me he would rather be out in the woods with the animals than with other kids. School started today and I have to ask him every day on the way to the buss stop if he has remembered to leave his knife at home (which he had). Our baby son has a few knives too, a MOP handled case his other grandfather (my father-in-law) gave him and another old, large case XX that came from my dad which he will eventually get.

Anyway that's my story/entry. Thank you for the opportunity. And yes if your wondering our youngest son was an accident, he well however be the last, I can be sure of that. An 8 & 6 year old and 16month old is enough...

Oh and daughter and mom both have matching [pink] mora companions, Robert has the lime green one and I have a orange one, we use them for our food while camping as well (wife also EDC's hers in her purse the rest of the time)

Edit:well never mind, I read the whole first page before I typed this but not the 2nd, to late, luckily its the first day of school so Robert isn't here for me to have mentioned this to him, he would have been dissapointed had he heard I was to late to have a chance.

My 7, soon to be 8 year old son is addicted to video games. in october, i am taking him camping for the first time to try and get him to be less reliant on games and more in the outdoors. would be a great introductory knife for him. i have leather i can make a sheath with. its hard to get any outdoor type training here in dallas and we are really excited about going, as he knows i use to "camp" in the army and shows interest and feel this would keep him interested....

I am sorry jdr, but the "winner" has been chosen and I just sent the knife off to Cutty73

email sent Cutty73... with delivery conf#

The Country Cousin made it here yesterday. Thanks again Lee D. My nephew Cameron will be thrilled. I'll see him next weekend and give it to him:thumbup::)

im glad it made it. I bet you had one hell of a time unwrapping it LOL, I always "over-do it" when I get a knife ready to be shipped off. looking forward to some pics, imo a sodbuster is darn near the ideal knife for a young fella. that little knife snaps shut rather briskly, be safe and I hope he enjoys it for years.
