Any opinions about the Queen Fixed Blade Hunters?

Specifically the Bear Head/Hunter/Skinner?

In D2 and with a basic handle it looks to be an excellent value. I'm thinking about an everyday general utility kind of carry and I'm wondering if they really are a good value or not.

Thanks,

The 4180 Series from Queen in D2 is about the best value for the money in this type of a knife that you will find today. For less than $40, you get a very well heat treated blade in D2. The edge is too thick for me, but once you thin it out, it will take and hold a great edge for a very long time. Mine will outlast many other more expensive knives when cutting abrasive materials (like hide). Also, even though D2 isn't considered a very tough steel, I accidentally dropped mine while on a ladder. As luck would have it, it impacted the concrete ground from around 8 ft right on the tip, and only had some minor impactions. Five minutes on a diamond stone, and you'd have to look hard to see it.

Go for it, you won't regret having one of these gems.
