The Birds Eye looks a bit drab in the pics good to hear it is better in real life. So how was the edge on your Queen?
Queen's birds eye maple handles can be a bit on the drab side but a few coats of appropriate oil (I use Ballistol...great stuff!) can do wonders. The wood ends up looking like the wood on fine old "Kentucky" rifle stocks.
Queen's edges can be variable as they come from the factory. The edges that these blades can take are second to none for their steel types, however.
