Howdy, folks. I'm looking to pick up a new toy, which means an old toy needs to go. Up for sale today is a Queen made Schatt & Morgan Doctor's Knife made for the NKCA in 2000. I was sold this knife as having smooth brown bone handles, but after doing a bit of digging, it seems to actually be "smooth black horn" according to NKCA (http://www.nkcayouth.com/images/knife images/club_knife_2000.jpg). There is definitely some brown coloring to the handles, but they are deep and rich. It is stainless, but for the life of me, I cannot find any information on what steel was used.
The knife is 3 3/4" closed and has not been carried by me. The previous owner sold it to me as new, and I have no reason to doubt this. It has only been out for pictures. The knife is in fantastic shape, and the action on the blades is wonderful. Pulls and snaps are around a 4 for both blades. If you would like additional pics, start up a Conversation with me.
Price is $withdrawn shipped ConUS via PayPal Goods & Services. International buyers please start a Conversation with me. I'm also open to trades; I'm mostly looking for vintage bone barlows or vintage wood barehead jacks. Start up a Conversation if you've got a trade offer.
Thanks for looking, folks. All the best.
