Queen Steel Question

That's a beauty of an edge on that CC! Are they super thick (-1/8) like the canoe and whittler? I'm an amateur metallurgist (m.e. with a fair amount of materials) so I fail to apply Occams razor to bs like the crystals (I'm sure they're there, but not doing anything other than making d2 hard).

Thanks. It's not quite that thick, but still rather 'beefy' near the edge, when compared to something similar, like a Case soddie Jr. (which has a hollow grind). I don't have either the Canoe or Whittler from Queen, so no basis for comparison there. I DO have several of Queen's Folding Hunters in D2 (including a stag version from Northwoods, by Queen), and I've long been thinking about doing the same to at least one of them. That's gonna take a while, on those big blades. Not to mention, 2 blades on each knife. Still trying to work up the nerve.
