Quenchant on Forged in Fire

On the Forged in Fire show, they appear to have large drums of an oil quenchant that gets used for all blades. This raises quite a few questions for me:

Any idea what the quenchant is (ie Parks AAA)?

Is the same quenchant used for all steels? They do 52100, 1084, sorta-mystery-steel and more. I imagine certain formulations may behave a bit better than others depending on the steel.

Preheat - I only recall one mention of a guy checking the temperature of the oil before quenching, but no mention of how the oil was being heated. How is the heating done on the show?

It is pretty much as you see it. The oil is unspecified, but supposedly a commercial medium-to-fast quenchant. It is used as-is in the drum. HT is done at night by the staff, and the contestants have no input. The steel is usually a mystery steel. Some is from things the contestants can make a good guess at. Bearings are 52100, plow steel 1090, HC RR spikes 1040-50, etc.

This has been discussed at length in the several older threads on FIF.
