Question 4 EmersonRep about backspacers?

^^ true! however i noticed when reassembling my tiger that the back screw in the middle would spin when tightening the liner side. Easy fix only took screw drivers, one to hold the screw and one to tighten.

I fully 100% disassemble every part of my Emersons for cleaning and I've only had a "spinning screw" issue on a standoff model once or twice. I usually wrap the standoff in a cloth and hold it with pliers. Then I'll tighten it down on one side, then full reassembly.

I've never seen a model with 6 standoffs, the most I've seen is 4.

Interesting method. I've only had it happen once so far on my tiger, I finally broke it down, cleaned, and frog lubed it. Now it flies out with my monster disk.

It has four standoffs as well, it was happening to the second one from the top. Easy enough to fix though, and I definitely like how easy it is to repair a stripped threading, before (on backspacer models) the whole liner would need replacing, now only the standoffs do.

Forgive me, but what is "frog lube"?

I apologize for the off-topic questions, just trying to learn as I come across things I don't understand.

But it works great on knives, and other applications.

You just need to clean the knife real good. Then heat up the knife before applying it to ensure through penetration of the lube to where it needs to be. I hear it smells like mint but haven't bought any to try yet but certainly want to try some:D.

Thanks for the clarification on the number of standoffs, Silvanus. Glad to hear that it is four, that is the same amount on the 15s.
