question about ASH-1

I saw that there is a ASH-1 on the Busse site for pre-order.I have a few questions about it if someone could help.Is the Aniversary model the same geometry/dimensions as the original SH-1 ? Also how long will this knife be available for pre-order? I cant pay for it just yet(late next week probably) will it be around then? I understand that it will take a few months to get it but I can wait as long as I know I am on the list. I appreciate any guidance you guys could afford me as I am relatively new to this whole INFI thing.Thaanx in advance.

order it now, you wont be charged until it is ready to be shipped.

i requested that i be notified before any charge is made so i can make any preparations as necessary. amy has always notified me first.

i think the dimensions are very similar, though not exact.
 
That answers it for me.Im going to go order it now.Thanx alot.I appreciate the quick response.I really dont want to miss out on this,especially for just $300!! Ive been wanting a NO-E but for the price this ASH-1 seems pretty comparable size/performance wise so Ill get this first.
 
the no-e is a great knife, as are all the ergo line.

but i found with my med sized hands, that it was too much handle relative to the blade.

the ash 1 fits my hands better.
 
Do you have both? How does the blade width compare between the two? Is the ASH wider than the NO-E(spine to edge)? I know from the site that it(ASH) is thicker(.25 vs .310 or so).I like thicker blades when possible. Also which has the stouter tip? I guess all these questions are dependant on the first one I asked.I too have med sized hands so that point is important.Thanx again.
 
i sold my no-e because of the reason i mentioned.

the ash-1 is about 1/2" wider i would guess. the cg ash-1 has the stouter tip, simply by its increased thickness. i believe both taper at about the same rate.
 
I have an NO-e and a couple of ASH-1 customs. I can try and take some pics tonight and post...

Awesome that is exactly what I was looking for.Sorry took so long to respond,Iv actually been at work all night,just got home now.This is definately the comparison I was hoping for. Seeing them next to each other just makes me want both now.Thanx again guys.
 
I have one more question if somebody could answer for me.Which of the two weighs more? I would think the ASH-1, but seeing as the handle dimensions differ I thought maybe the NO-e.thanx
 
Nice Im psyched!!!Especially as the only Busse i have now is a game warden. Should be a good 1st BIG piece for me. Then Ill work on getting a FFFBM.

the cgash-1 is drago, the gw is rocky.
 
HA great sceane...I however dont intend to beat down my GW the way rocky got wupped, she still is INFI and my 1st.

If you are thinking about a FFBM then you should try to snag one from the BCS while they are still around at good prices.

Things may change down road.

The only BM i saw at the BCS was the LE. Are there others available? Damn,I just looked and saw there were a bunch but it says empty trough after them now..I guess that means i missed them.I did get in for the ASH-1 though.
 
Yes, there are FFBMs there from 367-452 depending on the configuration. Keep checking and I am sure you will eventually see them.
 
I keep looking,Id love to pick one up under 400 if possible,but Ill have to wait as Im going to have to pay for the ASH-1 soon.
 
You will have some time before the ASH1s will be put into production. I would pick up a FFBM now and save up afterwards for the ASH1s. Well at least that is what I would do if I didn't have one and intend on owning one :D

Is Skunk getting more shipments? Is that why troughs are shown as empty, as if they may be filled soon?
