Hello, I visited a sporting goods store the other day and they had Blade Tech brand knives in stock. I never heard of this brand before but prices started at $199. At that price I figured they were top quality but I did a quick Internet search and didn't find anything above $100. Is this store over pricing this brand or do they actually make knives in that price range? Is their quality on par with Benchmade and Spyderco? Would you recommend buying one of their knives?

They used to make knives in that price range. Like this and it's been discontinued a long time..

That's the Rijback. Someone had one of them up for sale here recently. My feeling was that their knives were good qualty and many were well-designed. They collaborated with Spyderco on some nice ones.
Your best bet is to do a search here for any you like and get an idea of their prices. Brick & mortar shops tend to overprice compared to online.
