Question about Busse knives tempering.

I know that mymindisamob has used various Busse blades as fire pokers with no ill effect. He has posted pics.
 
Yeah, I suspect many of us have used our Busses one way or another to straighten out a fire ...

Never had any ill effect on mine :thumbup: Still able to chop stuff that would break the edge on other blades ...

RE use in the fire...just be quick about it...no spacing out on the pretty flames.
RE making sparks off a rod...no problem, but consider any number off alternatives if available rather than the edge of your expensive knife...best to dedicate that part for cutting stuff IMO.
