Question about Canteens/Water bottles...

I've been told that whatever it is that the inside of aluminum bottles are coated with, is harmful if heated... or something like that? I came here because I really don't know.

I heard that too,something about how the switch from nalgene/lexan bottles to the aluminum was not neccesarily for the better because the coating would come off when boiling water.

I could be wrong though.

I picked up my Kleen Kanteen because water could be boiled in it and it doesn't have any coatings inside or out.
