Question about Custom tang marks.

When did Buck start using the 4-line custom tang mark with the Anvil graphic?
2002 is sticking in my head. Any help?

I believe that's correct. The anvil was used as the 2002 date stamp and even took the place of the model numbers that year. I have some older Custom Shop knives and they don't have the anvil stamp. I think the anvil was added to the Custom stamp that same year or perhaps the next.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Someone thinking they've had a knife marked that way for 20 years is a little off.
