Hey guys. I have a question about the dc finish on some busses. I have heard that this finish wears better than most other ones. Is this true? And, how bad does this show marks with a kydex sheath? If i don't want to ruin the finish, should i stay away from kydex? or will it be not bad at all, to where i can barely see anything at all from a kydex sheath? And, one more....if i wear off the finish, will the shop put a new dc finish on for me if i ruin it? thanks for all the help.

If your worried about it showing scuffs & scratches, I'd go with leather. I've got a 2007 ASH SE that I use as a yard knife (wear while mowing). I've been carrying it in a generic nylon sheath with a plastic liner and it does show some marks from just beating around in the sheath. Love the look of the DC though:D

The scratches on DC stand out more on DC than satin IMO.

Kydex will scratch it.

Most of the witness marks on my DCs are smoothing more than the scratches I see on the satins.

If you have access to a bead-blaster, you can 'fix' your DC any time the mood suits you.

Hey thats a great idea. I will have to see how much something like that goes for....ok, maybe im getting a little crazy here. Oh well, when the dc wears off, i will just make her satin. but, i really like the look of the dc. there is no way to keep it looking good? other than not using her, of course. thanks guys

All my DC users show little signs of use. Satin seems to show everything.
