Question about folders

I have searched and find very few folder WIPs so I can't find an answer. Are folders just the blades and scales or are they everything from the ground up? Yes, I understand there are kits. But, to do one from scratch do you make everything except the tiny screws?

I don't plan to do any folders any time soon, but I am planning on replacing a blade on one and was curious. I have a favorite knife in my tackle box and a piece of cutout from a Santoku I am going to make will fit the knife perfectly. Waste not, want not.

Speaking of waste, I have a few hundred non-magnetic stainless(austenitic?) tiny t5 headed bolts in the 4-40 thread range. Are they useful to anyone? Free. I'll even cover the shipping if you can use them.

Small Parts are usually bought. Everything else is made by the maker.

I make everything but the screws, detent balls ect. I make and grind blades, liners, thumbstuds, pocket clips and bolsters.

I'm interested in the screws. Can you tell me more about them? I have not seen a 4-40with a T5 nd if they are non magnetic what are they made of?
