Question about graphite lube

I just received a Browning Ice Storm and it definitely needed some lubing so i disassembled it and used powdered graphite. It then worked very smoothly for several openings but quickly went to the original state. I take it the graphite won't stay in where it needs to be? I was hoping I could use this since its what I have lying around. Maybe I messed up reassembling.

Any help is appreciated.

Btw..I realize the Ice Storm is made my Mcusta, but it seems to be an exact copy of the Mcusta Stingray which goes for much more, pretty cool for under 30 bucks!

Just a quick warning not to use graphite on aluminum. It makes micro-pits that turn into fractures on stressed parts. I've heard that airplane mechanics aren't even to write with a pencil on aluminum parts.

Hmm..do you have any more information on this? I was unable to turn up anything about this.
