question about hobbit fang

i recently got a hobbit fang at a show.it is ats 34.all the production ones i've seen listed are 1095. can anyone shed some light on this??? thanks, russ

I think that there were a few "stonewashed" ATS-34 fangs out there. I saw Pioneer Knife and Tool sell those awhile back? If it is stonewashed then it is probably one of those, unless you have a black-T coated fang in which case, I wonder one determines it is ATS-34? Hope this helps.

I got one from Pioneer Knife about a year ago. It was stonewashed ats 34 stainless. Think I paid 50.00 for it..

thanks for the info guys. yep,it is stonewashed. ats 34 is printed on it. mine was 50.00 too.i got it from bob adkerson outta fla. here at a local show.russ
