Waldganger, Sorry it took me so long to answer- yes, when my WH is loose it will open much like my Arc locks (the way Esav mentioned).
Of course, if asked to open by an LEO the only way I know to open any knife is by careful (and slow) use of the the thumb stud!
John W brings up a good point about "inertia"- nearly any knife can be opened that way.
