The M43 does come with a thinner blade than other khukuries. The balance is completely different. It was my first and still my favorite. I think it is a tad light for chopping but a good compromise for an all around khuk.
Try one, you'll love it. It used to be the most favored of all the HI models but you don't see them very often.
