Question about Mag Lite

Anyone know anything about this company? I'm curious about if/when they're going to read the writing on the wall and start producing LED lights.
 
I think Mag is spending a more money suing small manufacturers that are producing quality LED lights than they are on R&D.

One other possible reason is that LED technology is still evolving.
 
I bought the LED replacement bulb for my mini-maglite from TADgear.com. Works pretty well, you lose intensity focusing feature, but you gain battery life and a whiter light.
 
I heard the reason why MagLite don't develop new products is because they won't release something they can't use to sue you over.

I think MagLite the product, and company are pathetic :barf: .
Duracell are dishonouring themselves by allowing their brand of batteries to be packaged with MagLites. :(

But then I've seen the light. I'm biased and have over 40 SureFires to prove it. ;)

Hey Guys...

At one time Maglite use to be the Leaders in flashlight.Lord knows I've bought my fair share of them.. That day is over though..
Yhe only way I'll buy another AA maglite is to tear it down and convert it over to LED..

Maglight the Company and Maglite the product have become a thing of the past..Boring, boring, boring.

Long live the Surefire and Arc AAA!!!

I like how the push button switch on the larger Mag-lites starts coming out of its own accord. Like others, I will never again buy a Mag-lite, though I must admit the large ones make a great billy club.
 
I carried a Mag Solitaire and a Mini-Mag, but these days they are nothing to rave about. Now they're going after Arc stating that the Arc AAA infringes on the Solitaire! :rolleyes:

I'll admit for the money, Maglites aren't bad, but they are way behind the times. All the new LED lights like Arc, CMG, Inova and others are leaving them in the dust. At least there's the Opalec NewBeam module that allows you to turn you Mini-Mag into an LED light. ;)

I've got an Ever growing Hatred for Maglite.. Their Flashlights Suck, and the only thing they are good for is a baton to beat people with.

Like I said before the only way I'd use it as a flashlight is with my Surefire taped to the back end....

Keep the Maglite under the seat and the Surefire and ARC in your pocket!
