Question about making an IKBS system

Now I know why I don't make knives or for that matter highly precise fitted folders! keepem sharp
 
I'm sure it depends completely on how much room you have, what size the pivot bolt is, and what size ball bearings you are going to use.

While it makes it look like you just drill a race and slap it together there needs to be at least a little planning. Simply drawing a sketch and putting in your dimensions of the knife and parts that are being used should provide the size needed for the drill bit. Even then it might not be exactly right depending on the tolerances of everything.

So basically there is no easy answer. They show basically how it is done but is up to you to refine it if you use it. If you license it they might even give you some common dimensions based on different pivots and ball bearing sizes.
