Question about my mini Griptilian

Got a mini Griptilian that I picked up on eBay, and stamped on the blade is FIRST PRODUCTION RUN 030/100. Now, I bought this knife to use, and planned on using it, I already knew that it was numbered. I had read several times that a numbered knife isn't usually part of a first production run, it may be the 30th knife in any production run, but not necessarily the FIRST production run. Like I said, I bought this knife to carry, if it truly is a collectible, I don't want to ruin it. Conversely, if its the same as any other mini Grip, I want to start carrying it. Thanks for your help.

Forgot to add that this is a Ritter mini Grip in S30V.

My first Mini Griptilian was also a numbered one, from a "Pre-Production Run."

I bought it to use, and use it I did. My girlfriend has it now (although she is not a knifeknut and pretty much it sits deep in her purse :( )

If it was a higher-end model I'd probably be more careful with it, but it's a Griptilian... Unless you have some wacky handle color, I'd use the heck out of it.

The strange thing is that in a few years it MIGHT be worth something more.

Values are hard to determine.

Who would have guessed people paying $200+ for an 806D2? A couple months before cancellation, they were lucky to sell for $107.

Me, I'd err on the side of safe and buy another for a user if that one is NIB condition.

If the value goes up, fine and dandy. If not, you'll have a conversation piece and it'll probably retain its value.
