Question about posting pictures

Why do some pics come up, and some are attachments that you have to click on? I've tried to look in the BF Faq, but no dice.....
 
My blade forum account just went gold today(yay:D) so I don't have a ton of experiance, but I did just post some pics in another forum and here is what I did. I browsed for the pic on my computer and posted it with my message. That made the link at the bottom. I then clicked on the link and it opened the pic in a different window. I right clicked the pic, went to properties, and copied the address. I then went to my original post and clicked "edit" Then I clicked the add image and pasted the address from the pic. Now the pic loads up auto and there is a link too. I hope that made sense. Here is a link to the forum so you can see what I mean.

my isp provider gives me a couple of megs worth of storage with the fee. i upload to my storage on there site and link to that. the pics have always shown reguardless of my forum membership.
you must be gold to post ads OR pics on the for sale forum.
i also size or crop all my pics to be less than 100k if possible.

Idaho, that's a dangerous thing to say, I'm getting drunk tonight, and I have my first digital camera...hahaha:D
