Question about Spyderench

Hi, I have these Spyderenchs , love them ! and I find the markings for 'Spyderco USA 440C' are different, and one of them has 'USA' on the body the other does not.

Anyone know are they both the original USA made models? why the markings are different?

Very interesting. I'm hoping that Sal will chime in with a response on this one.

One other difference I notice is that the bottom SpydeRench (with the USA on the handle) has the blade information stamped into the blade and the top on has it laser etched into the blade.

I've only got one SpydeRench and it's identical to the top one in your photo.

Well, mine has "USA" on the body like your second one but has the laser etched serrated blade like your first one.
The box is dated 11/26/01 BB
